Inaicyra
is a lyric singer, a full professor and researcher of
African-Brazilian traditions in education and the performing
arts at the Department of Corporal Arts at Campinas
University in São Paulo.
She
has an Undergraduate Degree in Dance from the Federal
University of Bahia, with a Masters in Theater arts
from Ibadan University in Nigeria and a Doctorate in
Education from São Paulo University.
She
has participated in courses in modern dance at the Alvin
Ailey Studio in New York, the Laban Centre for Movement
and Dance in London and the Schola Cantorum in Paris.
She was a member os the following theater and dance
companies: Contemporar Dance Group of the Federal University
of Bahia, Ballet Brasil Tropical (with several tours
in Europe and the Middle East), Theatre DÉnnah
Paris, France and the Peter Badejo Intercultural Company
in London (with a tour in England).
She
has been an actress and a choreographer in events at
the Society for African Studies in Brazil, SECNEB, and
has carried out studies and research at Ifé and
Ibadan Universities in Nigeria.
